The shoreline of Carpenter Lake is marked by beaches of sand and gravel near the lodge. These are wonderful places to swim, sunbathe or just hang out in the warm days of summer. You can bring your favourite water toys or snorkel and view shallow-water fish. There are castles of sand to be built, stones to be skipped and littoral creatures to be studied. Shady spots beneath trees near the dock are great places to park lawn chairs.
