What to Bring:
At Carpenter Lake Cabins, the cabins are fully equipped for housekeeping. A range of tools for cooking and meal preparation are provided. You need to bring your own bedding; see the list of bed-sizes in each cabin (below). Cabins have a refrigerator and freezer for food storage and a barbecue. Guests have free use of boats and outboard motors with fuel can be rented. We provide oars, life jackets and mandatory boat kits with each boat.
The lodge has a small store with a limited selection of food, candy and personal items. The store has ice and fish worms. Minnows need to be purchased from a bait store or trapped locally.
Remember to buy fishing or hunting licenses before you come to camp. These are available online (see links under Contact Us), at Service Ontario centers in major towns and some local stores. Places that sell licenses are the Highway Variety Store at 25 Trunk Road in Sault Ste Marie (Churchill Plaza) and the Little Rapids General Store (a few kilometers north of Thessalon).
